Doctor’s Bio

 

James Honet, M.D.Dr. Honet became interested in pain management early in his medical training, following in his father’s footsteps. He graduated from Albany Medical College in New York and immediately following his Anesthesiology Residency, he entered the Pain Management Fellowship program at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. There he worked as part of an internationally renowned team for research and treatments for Complex Regional Pain Syndrome / Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy.

Dr. Honet returned to Michigan to pursue his special interest in treating patients with unresolved pain resulting from an accident or injury. His comprehensive management of this patient population is directed toward assisting the individual to return to and maintain their maximum functioning capacity. His practice also includes the management of patients suffering with low back pain as well as Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome.

Dr. Honet is on staff at Doctors Hospital of Michigan and St. Joseph Mercy Hospital.
